Tracey Johnston
Owner and proprietor for 25 years. Having worked in education for the last 10 years I have gained experience as a lecturer in several different colleges. I have taught on both equine and animal programmes, previously focussing predominantly on 14-16 year olds. I have trained and assessed students on NVQ programmes as well as taught centre based qualifications in colleges. I now run and teach on the diploma courses that we offer here, as well as teaching private clients in the riding school. I currently hold the BHS SM qualification, my Certificate in Education and the D34 and D32 and D33 awards.
Becky Crick
Centre Manager. Having previously spent time travelling and working with horses in New Zealand, Australia and America, I have now worked at Brimington Equestrian Centre for two years. Before working and travelling abroad I studied for a BSc in Animal Behaviour Science, a PgDip in Animal/Equine Spinal Manipulation and for my BHS AI qualification. I also hold the A1 Assessor award and am currently in my final year of studying for my PGCE. I am also training for my BHS Stage 4 exam.
Dawn Collyer
Animal Care lecturer. I started my education in the animal industry when I was 16, attending college for 3 years and studying for a variety of animal care subjects. During this time I worked in many animal establishments, from dog grooming parlours to pet shops, to kennels. After completing college I took a keen interest in Dog Grooming and successfully completed both OCN Dog grooming, bathing and drying & Dog clipping & styling.
I started my first full time role in the animal industry in a quarantine kennels and cattery before commencing my current role at Ace Animal Equine Education & Training LTD, here at BEC. I have successfully completed my A1 Assessors Award and am currently studying for my final year of the Certificate in Education. My specialist area of expertise is Dog Training and Grooming.
